FAQs for Online Courses & Digital Downloads

 

What is your exchange/refund/cancellation policy?

Digital Downloads

Please place your order for any digital downloads carefully as no refunds can be given for digital downloads.


 

Online Courses (Individual, Recommended Bundle, Premium Bundle, Microcredential Program)

As per our Service Agreement Terms and Conditions Online Course - Terms of Use, Section 7 Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds. 

Please read the description for the Online Course Service carefully before placing your order as due to the immediate access to course material, refunds cannot be automatically given.

7. Cancellation, Exchange and Refunds

  1. Refunds cannot be made for downloadable digital items.
  2. Cancellation and refunds for subscribers to the Online Course Services will be considered, at the discretion of Eduro Learning, if a written request and reason for cancellation/refund by email is received within 48 hours of purchasing the course. You may request an exchange for another online course of equivalent value. An exchange request must be received by email within 48 hours of purchasing the course. If dissatisfied with the service, contact services[@]edurolearning.com
  3. It is not possible to cancel or postpone your course, apart from under the circumstances in item 2 above.
  4. Your access to the Online Course Service may be terminated by written notice if you are in material breach of these terms and the breach is not remedied within the period of 14 days after written notice of the breach has been given to you. If we reasonably believe your breach of these terms affects our lawful operation of the Online Course Service or third-party customers we may suspend your access to the Online Course Service at any time.

Eduro Learning's Cancellation of an Online Course

In the unlikely event of the cancellation of a Facilitated Premium Bundle and/or one of our Academy/Premium Microcredential Programs, before it's official start date, due to circumstances beyond our control, participants will have the option of:

  • transferring to another microcredential program;
  • transferring to the next cohort of the same program;
  • receive a 100% refund of registration fees 

Please note:  Cancellation is not applicable to any Self-Paced Option online course.

 

 

What is the format and assessment/feedback of Eduro Learning's Online Courses?

Format of an Individual Course

Each individual course contains a course video,  key resources, and a task/challenge which may include self-reflection and commenting in our private community forum and/or reflection via social media channels.

Assessment / Feedback for an Individual Course

You are not required to complete any of the action tasks/challenges or post in the Individual Course private community forum and/or via social media channels. However, we highly recommend that you do complete the tasks/challenges and reflect in the forums and/or via social media to get the most learning out of the course.

Although no "official" assessment/feedback is given, each forum does have a moderator and that moderator is highly likely to respond to anything you post, as are any participants currently accessing the course. If you use #edurolearning or @edurolearning in any of your social media channels, it is highly likely that we will respond to anything you post.


Format of a Recommended Bundle

A Recommended Bundle has three (3) individual courses that are tied together by a common theme and conveniently bundled together as "one course".  Each individual course contains a course video,  key resources, and a task/challenge which includes self-reflection and commenting in our private community forum.

(Each individual course in a Recommended Bundle can be purchased separately as a stand-alone course if you would prefer.  See the Individual Courses section on our Online Courses page)

You are not required to complete any of the action tasks/challenges or post in the Recommended Bundle private community forums. However, we highly recommend that you do complete the tasks and reflect in the forums to get the most learning out of the course.

Format of a Premium Bundle

A Premium Bundle has six (6) individual courses that are tied together by a common theme and conveniently bundled together as "one course".  Each individual course contains a course video,  key resources, and a task/challenge which includes self-reflection and commenting in our private community forum.

(Each individual course in a Premium Bundle can be purchased separately as a stand-alone course if you would prefer.  See the Individual Courses section on our Online Courses page)

Assessment / Feedback for a Premium Bundle

Unless you are completing a Facilitated Premium Bundle for credit, or wish to receive an official certificate of completion, you are not required to complete any of the action tasks/challenges or post in the Premium Bundle private community forums. However, we highly recommend that you do complete the tasks and reflect in the forums to get the most learning out of the course.

For self-paced (no credit/facilitation) participants, no "official" assessment/feedback is given, each forum does have a moderator and that moderator is highly likely to respond to anything you post, as are any participants currently accessing the course. 

Facilitated / For Credit participants will have a Course Facilitator who will be in email contact with you about your official assessment/feedback requirements for your course.


Format of, and Assessment/Feedback for, the Microcredential Program

Please refer to the specific Microcredential Program for these details as they vary significantly to our Individual, Recommended Bundle and Premium Bundle courses.

Please note that the Microcredential Programs have their own set of specific FAQs as well.

How long do I have access to the course for?

Access for every course is granted for one (1) year. You can request an extension to access a course that you have purchased by sending an email to services[@]edurolearning.com with "Course Access Extension" in the subject line.

Can I transfer my payment for any online course to another educator?

Self-Paced Courses: (Individual, Recommended Bundle, Premium Bundle, Microcredential Program-Honor option)

Registration may be transferred to another person free of charge up to 2 days after the purchase of the course but must be before the course has been accessed/started. Thereafter a $25 fee may be applied. 

The new participant will be automatically enrolled in the course that the original participant purchased. The new participant will be required to update any demographic information as appropriate.

To request a transfer, please send the full name and email address of both the original participant and the new participant to services[@]edurolearning.com with the subject line "Course Registration Transfer Request".

Facilitated and/or Mentor Courses (Premium Bundle, Microcredential Program - Academy/Premium option)

Registration may be transferred to another person free of charge up to 7 days after the purchase of the course but must be before the facilitated and/or mentored course/program has officially started. Thereafter a $25 fee may be applied. 

The new participant will be automatically enrolled in the course that the original participant purchased. The new participant will be required to update any demographic information as appropriate.

Can I take an Eduro Learning course for university credit?

Individual Courses / Recommended Bundles

We're sorry, the For Credit (Heritage) is not an option for these courses at this time.

Premium Bundles

For Credit (Heritage)/Facilitated options are available for most of our Premium Bundles. Please refer to the Premium Bundles section of Online Courses and the specific course you are interested in, for further details about registering for credit.

Microcredential Program

For Credit (Heritage)/Facilitated options are available for our Microcredential programs. Please refer to the specific microcredential program you are interested in for further details.

Do I receive a Certificate at the end of any course?

SELF-PACED COURSES

At this time, there is no certificate upon completion for any self-paced (Individual, Recommended Bundle, Premium Bundle, Microcredential Program - Honor option). 

Should you require "a record of learning" for your employer to show that you have completed this course to receive professional development funds, please contact our Cheif Knowledge Officer, chrissy@edurolearning.com before you purchase the course.

FACILITATED COURSES and/or MICROCREDENTIAL PROGRAMS

Upon request, there is a certificate of achievement available for any participants in a facilitated Premium Bundle.

A Certificate of Achievement is issued to all participants with a mentor (Academy & Premium option) in our microcredential programs.

Do you have a payment plan option?

We currently have a payment plan just for our Microcredential Program.

The Honor, Academy and Premium options all have a payment plan option. When a microcredential program is open for purchase you can choose:

  • Payable over 2 months (20% non-refundable initial deposit required)
  • Payable over 3 months (10% non-refundable initial deposit required)

The details of the payment plans can be found on each of the microcredential pages when the microcredential is open for registration.

Can I purchase any course for two or more people at once?

Yes! We can arrange an invoice payment so that you can purchase for two or more people at one time.  This also means we can organize each person with their own separate login details.

What are the start and the end dates for the Microcredentials?

The Coach Microcredential is currently closed, unless you wish to purchase the Honor, No Mentor option. The Early Bird Bonus Registration is due to open on January 15, 2019. Please register your interest for this microcredential on The Coach Microcredential so that we can let you know when early-bird-bonus registration opens for the next cohort!

The 1:1 Teacher Microcredential is currently closed,unless you wish to purchase the Honor, No Mentor option. Please register your interest for this microcredential (with a mentor) on The 1:1 Teacher Microcredential  so that we can let you know when registration re-opens for the next cohort!

The Connected Teacher Microcredential is currently closed, unless you wish to purchase the Honor, No Mentor option. Please register your interest for this microcredential (with a mentor) on The Connected Teacher Microcredential so that we can let you know when registration opens.

What is the approximate time commitment required?

You can expect to spend between 3-5 hours (approximately) per week with course work.  

Do I have to take the courses in order?

Each Microcredential program page is set out with a recommended order to take the courses. However, you can customize the order in which you take the courses to suit your own needs and/or time constraints.

Although we do not recommend it, you can take several courses at once. 

What happens if I don't finish all the course work?

Premium or Academy Package
If you are completing a Microcredential course for credit and you don't finish all the course work before the end of the academic year for your cohort then you automatically drop down to Honor Level and you will not receive credit. You will still have access to the material for a total of one (1) year from the cohort start date.

Honor Package  
You will still have access to the course material for a total of one (1) year from the cohort start date. 

Are course credits and/or clock hours available?

Course credits and/or clock hours (through Heritage / Antioch University) are only available in the Premium and Academy package options.  They are not available in the Honor package option.

Which package option is right for me?

The Microcredentials are available via three (3) package options:  Premium; Academy; Honour. Details of what to expect with each package are on the microcredential pages.

How do I get my 1:1 appointment with my mentor?

Once the Microcredential program is underway, it’s up to you to make the appointment with your mentor for a time convenient for you and your mentor. (Premium & Academy option only)

How private are your private communities?

Our online courses are known for their embedded community forums. We often ask you to share private information about challenges, difficulties, and successes to help move forward in learning. In order to build a trusting and safe space for professional growth, we have a confidentiality policy for all of our online courses.

Can I take another Microcredential when I'm finished one?

Of course!  Each Microcredential has a different lens through which your learning can be customized to best fit your needs and your teaching environment. We'd love to help and support you through a Microcredential pathway of learning.
