Microcredentials: A Year-Long Learning Journey
We all want to be the best teachers we can be! This means we’re always learning – and looking for relevant, timely and customized professional development opportunities.
The rise of the Internet is not only changing the way we approach learning with students, but also how we approach learning as educators. There is a slow and steady shift happening in education. It is a new professional development model where we take best practices we use with students and apply them to professional development opportunities for educators.
We’re excited to finally be launching our series of microcredential pathways, all designed for teachers, by teachers. They‘re more than just an online course! Microcredentials are quickly becoming an efficient and effective way for educators to deepen their understanding about highly specific and focused teaching strategies — without going through an entire degree program. Comprised of six complementary online courses and designed to highlight a professional passion, a micro-credential is the perfect way for teachers to not only demonstrate their expertise, but to gain recognition for new skills developed.
