The hassle of trying to renew a teacher’s license (especially from an international school) can be a very frustrating process. The State of Virginia (where I’m registered) still only accepts paper checks by mail (always fun to arrange from Thailand). And, until this year, licenses needed to be renewed every five years. Going through the process of doing all the mandatory online training (State of VA History, anyone?), and gathering all the paperwork to prove you’ve done the required amount of PD, and then getting all of that documentation, plus your payment to the right office at the right time can be a real stress.
